Bubble expands as we enter crunch time
The NCAA Tournament bubble is expanding right now. That’s probably not a big surprise. History suggests it might even become more fluid in the next seven days before teams play their way in or out heading into conference tournaments. More on the tournaments to come.
Bubble Banter is now updated through all games on Sunday, February 22. See where team’s stand.
A couple of teams – Florida State for example - has played its way off the bubble and moved into the “should be in” category. The only thing the Seminoles need is to avoid a complete collapse in their final four games. Maryland also helped itself with the comeback at home vs. North Carolina. Virginia Tech is now in serious trouble.
We highlighted the Bracket Buster games in an Around the Rim post on Sunday. In other games from the weekend, Georgetown has created a serious of “must wins” starting tonight vs. Louisville. Dayton continues to lose questionable games on the road. And Minnesota staved off potential disaster by taking care of Northwestern.
