Spokane/Oklahoma City switch dates for 2010 tourney
The NCAA announced it has switched dates for the Spokane and Oklahoma City first/second-round sites for the 2010 NCAA Tournament. Spokane will become a Friday-Sunday site with games on March 19 and 21. Oklahoma City will thus move to a Thursday-Saturday site with games on March 18 and 20. Changes are reflected under Tourney Sites.
There’s not much to this change; mostly logistics. Since Spokane is now a Friday-Sunday site, it would mean that location would be unavailable to BYU if the Cougars were to make the NCAAs again. Spokane would be their closest location, but BYU will not play on Sundays. If any further news develops between now and Midnight Madness, we’ll keep you updated.
