Bracketology: Big Ten, ACC lead early Field of 68

Dave2015It was quite a November for the Big Ten and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Thus, you will find a heavy dose of Big Ten and ACC teams in our first in-season bracket for the 2018-19 season. Nineteen of the 68 seed lines belong to teams from one of those two groupings.  Whether those numbers are sustainable when the inevitable conference crunching ensues remains to be seen.

There are a few Big 12 and SEC teams off to slower-than-expected starts. We could say the same for some members of the Big East and Pac-12.  In the marathon of a college hoops season, we’re at about mile six – so stay tuned.

The only change to the top line from our preseason bracket is Virginia.  The Cavaliers edged out Nevada for the final No. 1 seed this morning.  Kentucky was the previous No. 1 seed back in October.  Enjoy your weekend of college hoops.  Welcome to December.
