Bracketology: Purdue opens 2023 as overall No. 1 seed

Welcome to 2023 and our push toward Selection Sunday!  Purdue leads the current Field of 68, followed on the No. 1 seed line by Connecticut, Kansas and Arizona.

With conference play underway, we’ll start to learn more about contenders and pretenders.  NET ratings will start to become more accurate (in most cases).  The more data we have, the better.  Some teams have cruised through the first two months of the season without much resistance.  Others have tested themselves.  Keep that in mind when comparing win-loss records.

Expect bracket updates twice a week.  Right now, I’m leaning toward Mondays and Saturdays, but we’ll see how well Friday’s work with my schedule.  Happy New Year!
