Seed List: Purdue slides to No. 1 + Bracket Impact Games
With help from Kansas State last night, Purdue reclaims its No. 1 overall position on the seed list. Kansas dropped to No. 2, with Alabama and Houston in pursuit.
Along the bubble, Wake Forest’s win over Clemson – combined with Nevada’s loss to Boise State – pushed the Demon Deacons back into the First Four heading into action on Wednesday night. Nevada falls into the First Four OUT.
Wednesday’s Bracket Impact Games:
- West Virginia (vs. TCU) – The Mountaineers are 0-5 in Big 12 play. They need to change that narrative.
- Ohio State (at Nebraska) – The Buckeyes have lost four straight, including a home loss to Minnesota. A loss in Lincoln would add to the current angst in Columbus and push OSU to the cutline.
- Virginia Tech (at Virginia) – The Hokies’ recent slide coincides with their current standing outside the Field. Golden opportunity to reverse course.
- Oklahoma at Oklahoma State – Cowboys should have an immense sense of urgency. Sooners trying to move up and away from the current bubble.
- Arkansas at Missouri – Absences have taken a toll on the Razorbacks. Who gets back on track?
- Connecticut (at Seton Hall) – It’s been a surprising couple of weeks for the Huskies who are trying to avoid a fifth loss in six games. SHU has reached the fringes of the bubble.
- Providence at Marquette – The Friars won the first meeting in double overtime. A victory puts Marquette in position to gain a seed line. Providence is currently riding the 5-6 line.
